Exploration Path
We drive to the Uyuni Salt Flat to see the sunset and then the moonrise (“killa” in Quechua language). The light changes in intensity through the white ocean under our feet, and the sky lightens up in reddish tones. During full moon, the sunset can be seen to the west while the moon rises to the east.
For those yearning for a bit more of adventure, climbing the multicolored Tunupa volcano will take you to 17,822 f.a.s.l.
