How we explore
Our explorations in this nomadic Journey, is divided in 3 zones besides atacama. each with its own set of unique geographic, cultural and biospheric characteristics.
All exploration have been designed in order to gradually unveil the Atacama´s, the highlands and the uyuni salt flat essence. Each day, one of our guides will gladly help you choose the right exploration for your interests and provide further information at each zone of exploration.
Our explorations, always led by a bilingual guide from our Guide School, take place in English or Spanish for groups of maximum of two travelers.
In the Travesía Atacama & Uyuni, every evening we´ll planed with you your next day exploration. Our rides and hikes have different length and difficulty levels.
Those that take the full day give us the privilege of having lunch in the middle of nature, while those that take half a day allow us to come back to our lodge or mountain home to make a different exploration during the afternoon.
Centuries of pure beauty, untouched. The only way to understand it is to feel it. Breathe it. Touch it. And yet, we are a grain of sand amidst its colossal landscapes of colour-filled lagoons, steaming geysers, peculiar rock formations, salt flats, mountains, volcanoes, and deserts. Besides the Himalayas, the altiplano is the only other location in the world that bears this rare kind of geography.
Civilizations were born, potato and quinoa were vastly cultivated, and a number of species began to be domesticated in this very land. The Altiplano in the heart of the Andes is where Chile and Bolivia meet and meld their history, beliefs, customs, colours, and people.
